Changing Chicago / A Different Ldn
The latest issue of Backyard “Changing Chicago / A Different London” is online now. The Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP) have given us permission to feature an amazing set of images from the “Changing Chicago” project which was created in the late 80’s by 30 different photographers. Alongside this fascinating work we’ve published highlights from a similar multi-photographer project from 2011: “The London Villages Project”. Read the latest issue now! © Jay King – Boy on skateboard, Orchard Street and Armitage Avenue, 1987

World Photo London
During World Photo London Backyard Magazine produced a pop-up issue in an afternoon. Thanks to the WPO we were able to invite a number of contributors to Somerset House, who came along to help shape the issue. The themes of home, family and community shine through in this issue – and are all great examples of “backyard” photography. Thanks to everyone who took part in our first (of hopefully many) special editions! WORLD PHOTO LONDON POP-UP ISSUE

Backyard – The Queensland Issue
Backyard showcases the work of photographers who love to explore and capture their neighbourhoods. After a fantastic response to our inaugural London issue we’re now visiting Queensland, Australia. We’ve deliberately stayed away from the typical stereotype of kangaroos, sun, surf and beaches. Queensland might be a relatively new state in a new country, but it’s a much more complex place than the mirage created by the tourist industry and beer commercials. ISSUE TWO
